SPEkTR - Excelsior

SPEkTR
Today we proudly release SPEkTR's new album Excelsior. SPEkTR is a Copenhagen-based band that was formed in 2000 by composer/guitarist Manoj Ramdas. The band has always been an uncompromising ensemble, always following their instinct. Originality and musical curiosity has been the driving force, a force Manoj Ramdas himself teasingly calls soundtrack’n’roll.

Throughout the years the band has been influenced by horror scores, surf music and sci-fi-based 70s TV themes…

The new album Excelsior is mainly inspired by a universe drenched in synth rock – a place where soundtracks from 80s action movies and German acts and composers, like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Doldinger and Harold Faltemeyer, have had a significant influence.

SPEkTR is:
Manoj Ramdas (CHILDRENN, Sort Sol, The Raveonettes)
Lasse Herbst (Fallulah, Ghost Society, Choir Of Young Believers)
Ida Rud (A Kid Hereafter)

The album also features Henrik Madsen (Emma Acs, She Talks).
